Christmas party tips to ensure your 2017 party is a cracker
With your Christmas party on the horizon, we’ve put together our top tips to ensure the most festive event of the year is a huge success!
THE POWER OF THE INTERNET
Go paperless and do your bit for the environment, by using an online registration system to manage your RSVP’s and event attendance. This will give you more time to plan the party and most importantly have a tipple (or two!) on the event evening. It’s a great idea to utilise social media and e-mail to ensure your guests have all the event details they need as well as to build excitement and anticipation for the Christmas Party.
LIGHT IT UP OR DOWN
Whether you’ve gone all out with your theming or are just sticking to traditional Christmas décor, lighting can make or break the party. If you opt for a blank canvas venue or hotel room, colourful uplighters are a must and we advise that the house lights or chandeliers are dimmed to create a great atmosphere.
PLAN THE AFTER PARTY
The Christmas Party will be fantastic and some of your colleagues want to party the night away long after the doors have closed… So why not make suggestions of nearby clubs and bars. Make sure to check out their door policies to avoid your guests trawling the streets for late night bars and clubs.
OFFER A DUVET HOUR (OR TWO!)
If your Christmas Party is mid-week, why not offer your guests an extra couple of hours in bed. It’s likely that the drinks will be flowing and the dancefloor will be packed all night, so a lie-in will be gratefully received by the party-goers and for those party-poppers who didn’t turn up, they can be assigned to the phones that morning.
MAKE SURE YOUR GUESTS GET HOME SAFE AND SOUND
When securing your London Christmas Party venue, it’s always a good idea to check the latest train times and night bus routes. If you’ve got larger numbers, we’d advise using taxi marshals and give the guests details of local hotels, who those who want to party hard until early hours of the morning.
