Crispins’ Weekly Choice – Museum of London

For the first time ever and only until the 10th April the Museum of London will be displaying, ‘The Crime Museum Uncovered’ exhibition. With never-before-seen objects from the Metropolitan Police’s Crime Museum (usually only open to members of the police force and invited guests) it’s one not to be missed.

Known as the city’s most in
accessible museum, The Crime Museum, holds a collection of evidence and criminal files from as far back as 1875. For anyone who fancies themselves the next Sherlock Holmes this is a treasure trove of crimes and criminal files and for everyone else it’s a really interesting glimpse into London’s criminal world for the past 130 years. The exhibition reveals details from top secret crimes as well as details from some of the most high profile UK crimes including the Great Train Robbery and the Millennium Dome Diamond Heist. Visitors will also gain an insight into the challenging world of the current police force by exploring numerous themes affecting the police force in the modern day.
